Founder and Managing Director

Brian Walsh is the founder and Managing Director of Human Nature, a strategic advisory firm partnering with forward-thinking investors, companies, and organizations to transform sustainability ambitions into meaningful impact. 

Background

Brian served as the Global Head of Sustainability for FTSE 250 company TP ICAP, where he partnered with board and senior executives to shape the organization’s sustainability strategy and framework. During his tenure, Brian raised TP ICAP’s MSCI ESG rating from BBB (average) to AA (leader).

In addition to overseeing ESG performance management and reporting, Brian developed sustainable finance product offerings for clients and managed the company’s global philanthropy programs.

Brian joined TP ICAP following its acquisition of the fintech company Liquidnet, where Brian established and led the award-winning social impact program Liquidnet for Good

An expert on impact investing and sustainable finance, Brian is an ImpactAlpha Contributing Editor and hosts the “This Week in Impact” podcast.

Brian developed the “Financing Social Impact” graduate course for Georgetown University, which he taught as an adjunct professor for five years.
